Lakh / Crore Chart — Indian Numbering System
The Indian numbering system groups digits as thousand → lakh → crore → arab → kharab. One lakh = 100,000 · one crore = 10,000,000 (ten million) · one arab = 1,000,000,000 (one billion).
Pakistan and India use this system for cheques, property documents and everyday speech, while international business uses million/billion. The table below shows every scale in English (both systems), Urdu and Hindi.

Remember
- 1 lakh = 100 thousand = 0.1 million
- 1 crore = 100 lakh = 10 million
- 1 arab = 100 crore = 1 billion
- Never mix lakh/crore with million/billion in the same document.
